Connect Salesforce so your CRM objects and records become context that Modus can reason over. Salesforce connects over OAuth — see Connecting apps for the general flow.

Who can connect

The connecting user needs the API Enabled permission. If your org pre-authorizes connected apps (Admin approved users are pre-authorized), a Salesforce admin must add the user’s profile or permission set to the Modus app before it can connect.

Start the connection

In Modus, go to Integrations, find Salesforce under CRM, and click Connect.

Authorize in Salesforce

Sign in to Salesforce and approve access in the popup. To connect a sandbox instead of production, sign in with your sandbox login.

Choose objects

Back in Modus, select the objects Modus should use as context.

What Modus can access

Modus queries Salesforce read-only using SOQL — it reads records and aggregates from the objects you select, and never writes to your org. This is a workspace connection shared across your Modus organization. Need help? Contact us at support@getmodus.com.
