Connect Microsoft Teams so your teams, channels, and channel messages become context that Modus can reason over. Teams connects over OAuth — see Connecting apps for the general flow.

Who can connect

Microsoft Teams requires admin consent. A Microsoft 365 Global Administrator (or Privileged Role Administrator) must approve the permissions Modus requests, because they apply at the tenant level.

Connect

1

Start the connection

In Modus, go to Integrations, find Microsoft Teams under Communication, and click Connect.
2

Authorize with Microsoft

Sign in with Microsoft and approve access in the popup. An admin may need to grant consent for the Teams app in your tenant.
3

Choose channels

Back in Modus, set the channel allowlist — the channels Modus should use as context.

What Modus can access

Modus requests read-oriented Microsoft Graph permissions to read teams, channels, channel messages and members, and directory info.
User.Read.All, ChannelMessage.Read.All, Channel.ReadBasic.All, TeamMember.Read.All, Organization.Read.All, ChannelMember.Read.All, Team.ReadBasic.All, AppCatalog.Read.All, TeamsAppInstallation.ReadWriteForUser
