# Zendesk Support

> Connect Zendesk Support to Modus so your scopes have context from your tickets.

Connect Zendesk Support so your tickets, organizations, and users become context that
Modus can reason over. Zendesk connects over **OAuth** — see
[Connecting apps](/guides/connect-apps) for the general flow.

## Who can connect

Connect as a Zendesk **admin** (or an **agent** with access to the tickets and
organizations you want Modus to read). The connection inherits the signing-in
user's role, so end-user accounts won't have ticket access.

## Connect

<Steps>
  <Step title="Start the connection">
    In [Modus](https://app.getmodus.com), go to **Integrations**, find **Zendesk
    Support** under **Customer Service**, and click **Connect**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Authorize in Zendesk">
    In the popup, enter your Zendesk **subdomain** (the `yourcompany` in
    `yourcompany.zendesk.com`), then sign in and approve access.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose organizations">
    Back in Modus, select the **organizations** Modus should use as context.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## What Modus can access

Modus requests read-oriented access to your Zendesk tickets, organizations, users,
and ticket metadata. Exact OAuth scopes are managed by Modus's Zendesk
configuration.

This is a **workspace** connection shared across your Modus organization.
