# Google Calendar

> Connect Google Calendar to Modus so your scopes have context from your events and availability.

Connect Google Calendar so your events and availability become context that Modus can reason over. Google Calendar connects over **OAuth** (Google) — see
[Connecting apps](/guides/connect-apps) for the general flow.

## Who can connect

Each user connects their own Google account. If your **Google Workspace** admin
restricts third-party apps (API controls), an admin must approve Modus before you
can connect.

## Connect

    In [Modus](https://app.getmodus.com), go to **Integrations**, find **Google
    Calendar** under **Communication**, and click **Connect**.

    Sign in with Google and approve access in the popup.

## What Modus can access

Modus reads the connecting user's calendar events and availability.

<Note>
  Google Calendar is a **personal** connection — each user connects their own
  Google account, and Modus uses the calendar of the person asking.
